Obituary James Beebe, 81of Kalamazoo, passed away Thursday February 13, 2020 at Rose Arbor Hospice. He was born July 20, 1938 the son of Leo Beebe and Doris (Holder) Singer. Jim served on theMattawan Fire Department before serving on the Paw Paw Fire Department for more than 50 years. He retired from GTE/Verizon then drove bus for Mattawan Schools. In retirement, Jim enjoyed spending winters in Florida where he enjoyed playing Bingo. Jim is survived his special friend and partner of 11 years, Patricia Conolly who survives. He is also survived by his two sons, John Beebe, Mike (Amy) Beebe; 13 grandchildren and 15.5 great grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Beebe, son, James Beebe, daughter, Jodie Mejeur and his sister, Marlene Dopheide. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 22, 2020, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, where a memorial service will commence at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry French officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton. Following the cemetery committal a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Paw Paw Fire Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Almena United Methodist Church or to the Paw Paw Fire Department. To send flowers to James’ family, please visit our floral section.
