Houston Sr., age 78, of Langhorne, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on February 23, 2020. Although Jim was employed at Yale and Towne for over 15 years, he is most well-known for his work as an entertainer. A singer and guitarist, he played with his band in Florida and Alabama. After moving back to the area, he performed solo in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Know as “The Nite Rider”, Jim performed Country and Western as well as Oldies to his fans at many bars and clubs. Devoted husband of Mary E. Helt; Father of Amy, Lisa, James Jr., and Samuel; Grandfather of Makayla, Thomas, and Blake; Great-grandfather of Aleah and Simon; Brother of Henry, Anne, Joan, Patricia, John, Joseph, Edmund, Paul, Michael and the late Lelia, Thomas and Mary. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Tuesday, March 3, 2020, from 10 Am until 12 noon at Fluehr Funeral Home, 864 Bristol Pike. (Rt. 13). Religious Service 12 noon. Interment Private.
