HERMAN’s Obituary HERMAN LEE STEELE, age 88, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, February 7, 2020, at the Waters of Winchester, LLC. Mr. Steele was born in Belvidere, Tenn, to the late John Henderson Steele and Mary Isabelle Miller Steele on December 9, 1931. Mr. Steele last attended Keith Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Steele was first employed at Ford Motor Company in Detroit for several years. He then returned to Tennessee where he did residential and commercial Masonry work. His favorite past time was working in his wood working shop. He and his late wife, Pauline would travel to many craft shows to sell his wood products. In addition to his parents, Mr. Steele was preceded in death by his two wives, Hilda and Pauline, brothers; William, Melvin, James and Jethro Steele. He is survived by his brother, Tom Steele and wife, Barbara, of Belvidere, sister-in-laws; Katherine Steele of Illinois and Linda Steele of Winchester, many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 9, 2020, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Duane Brown, officiating. Interment will follow in the Keith Springs Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
