Hedy Angela Pirner, 94, of Brandywine, Maryland, passed away on February 11, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 2, 1925 in Ebenau, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Johann Hupert and Katarina Hupert. As a young woman, Mrs. Pirner left Germany to come to the United States in 1950. She and her husband worked the family farm and raised their family. Mrs. Pirner loved to bake and was known for her cinnamon bread, Christmas cookies, and of course, her pies that she made for the church bake sale. She enjoyed working in her flower garden as well as growing house plants. Mrs. Pirner also enjoyed sewing and making quilts. Her family considered her the “Ultimate Recycler” since she was able to use and reuse items in a variety of ways and knew how to get the best use of each them. She was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Baden. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pirner was preceded in death by her husband John Pirner; son Albert John Pirner; ten siblings. She is survived by her children Mary Jane Marchant (Michael), Edward “Sunny” Pirner (Susan), Anita Jones (Joe), Michael Pirner (Mary Alice), Hedy DeCampo (Frank), Andrea Kearney (Jim); daughter-in-law Nancy Pirner; grandchildren Jennifer King, Enoch Marchant, Kati Pirner, Krysta Pirner, Karla Pirner, Amanda Pirner, Crystal Pirner, Joseph Jones, Nicholas DeCampo, Joshua DeCampo, Emily DeCampo, Katherine Kearney, Jonathan Kearney and Kevin Copsey; great grandchildren James King, Henry King, Tula Marchant, Harper Marchant, Eloise Marchant, Charlotte DeCampo, Jaylynn Copsey, Cash Jones, Shelby Jones, Brayden Wright, and Cole Wright. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 10AM until time of Mass at 11AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 17502 Horsehead Road, Brandywine, Maryland 20613. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735.
