Grace’s Obituary Grace Elizabeth Roberson, 96, of Hooks, Texas died February 27, 2020. She was born August 16, 1923, to John C. and Bertha L. Reed Brown in Doddridge, Arkansas. She was a devoted member of Hooks First Baptist Church for 65 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for 60 years; taught VBS for decades and served as a director at times. Grace was a PTA, AARP member, a homemaker, a devoted wife and mother of three girls. She worked at Wright’s cleaners, director and teacher for Duke’s Day Care and Lone Star. In high school, she played on Bright Star, Arkansas State winning basketball team. Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Roberson, daughter, Alois Waters, and grandson, Ronald J. Walker. She is survived by her two daughters; Linda Procter of New Boston, Texas; Rhonda Garrison of Hooks, Texas; five Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; three Great Greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Rae Lummus of Arlington, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, March 1, 2020, at Chapelwood Funeral Home, Nash, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, March 2, 2020, at Hooks First Baptist Church with Rev.
