A graveside service for Mr. Fred W. Germer, age 90 of Lindale, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas, Texas with Rev. Randy Haedge officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Mr. Germer died Monday, February 10, 2020 at a hospice facility in Tyler. He was born in Secaucus, New Jersey on May 19, 1929 to the late Fred Germer, Jr. and Emily (Alpen) Germer. Mr. Germer was formerly of Mesquite, Texas before moving to Lindale, Texas in 2005. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a tank commander of an M47. MR. Germer retired from Atlas Manufacturing in Dallas, Texas. He also worked in construction. Mr. Germer was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Germer in 2015. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Evans and husband, Larry of Lindale, Texas; 2 sons, Mark Germer of Odessa, Texas; and John Germer of Rockwell, Texas; grandchildren, Caroline Macias, Cathrine Appel, Christa Strader and Eric Evans; 5 great grandchildren, Brookelyn Anna Strader, Lauren Louise Strader, Emily Appel, William Appel, and Remy Macias. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
