Boris Tsvetkov, age 82, a resident of Southfield since 1991, passed away February 23, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. He was born October 10, 1937 in the Novgorod region of Russia to the late Ivan and Nadezhda Tsvetkov. He became an Electrical Engineer and later an Engineering Manager of an organization in the city of Baku, Soviet Union (now Azerbaijan). After immigrating to the US in 1991, Boris worked at the Ottawa Eagle Leather company producing automotive seating leather. He treasured poetry, reading, crossword puzzles and being with his granddaughters. Beloved husband of Izabella Traynina (married since 1960). Loving father of Alla Tsvetkova. Brother of Ivan Tsvetkov. Loving grandfather of Juliya and Michelle. He will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 27th from 12:30 pm until the time of the service at 1:30 pm at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road (4 blocks E of Woodward), Royal Oak. Burial to follow at Clover Hill Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
