Obituary Billy Ray Whittenburg, 73, of Carlisle passed away Sunday February 2, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Betty Whittenburg. His mother Ernestine. His son William. Grandchildren Justin (Rachel) and Brandon (Jessica) and his great-grandchildren Jacob and Katie Beth Whittenburg and Exzavius, Drake, Deaven, and Scotty Whittenburg. Sister Patsy Knight (Brig) and Brother Charles (Loretta) and a host of beloved family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Bill and his son Scotty. A visitation will be at 10 Wednesday February 5th at Palm Street Church of Christ in Lonoke prior to the funeral at 11. Graveside services will be at Carlisle cemetery immediately after services. Billy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Mann Brothers Hunting Club for 50 years. He loved being outdoors and traveling with Betty by his side. He was a true believer in the Lord, and he boldly stated that with anyone he came in contact with. He loved playing music with his uncles and his dad and loved family reunions. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. He told stories about his occupations over the years including being an EMT, glass technician, auxiliary policeman for Carlisle, and delivering fish all across the United States. Billy was loved by all. He will be truly missed by his family and loved ones. Memorials can be made to Palm Street Church of Christ in Lonoke P.O.
