Obituary Arnold R. Poore “Ray”, age 87 of Lawton, died January 30, 2020. He was born February 16, 1932, in Illinois, the son of Clyde and Lena (Venable) Poore. Arnold served in the U.S. Air Force. On June 23, 1954, he married Wanda Odle. He worked many years at Fuller Transmission and retired from Ronningen-Petter as a machinist. Ray was a longtime farmer and member of the community. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Poore; his children: Barbara (Dennis) Lynch, Shirley (Mark) Owsiany, and Virginia (Stanley) Siencki; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Poore, and his sister Julia Ann Metheny. Friends will be received at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave., on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow with military honors in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton.
