Alice Kitchens, 69, of El Dorado, AR passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the John R Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. Alice was born January 28, 1950 in McNeil, AR to the late Sam and Connie (Millican) Gandy. She worked as a security guard and retired after 30 years from Tri State Motor Transit. She was a member of the Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Mt. Holly. Alice loved and cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker and her family meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Robert Reddin and William “Peewee” Kitchens; granddaughter Ashley Wilson; and brothers James Ray Gandy and Richard Gandy. Alice is survived by her son James Reddin of Canton, NC; daughters Lawana Carter and husband Paul and Connie Roden and husband Tracy of El Dorado; grandchildren Brandon Reddin and Colby Reddin of Canton, NC, Nicole Johnston and husband Chad of Choudrant, LA, Ashley Hunter and Dillon Reed of Magnolia, Madison Carter, Davis Roden, Jennifer Roden, Dalton Roden, Carter Roden, Isabella Estrada, and Luna Simons all of El Dorado, Brooke Harris and husband Justin of Russellville, and Emily Story and husband Jonathan of Locust Bayou; great grandchildren Erin Osgood and Charlie Johnston of Choudrant, and Everly Story of Locust Bayou; brother Larry Gandy and wife Edie of Mt. Holly; sisters Eula Embrey, Hilda Smith, and Peggy Frisby and husband Homer of Mt. Holly, and Doris Hughes of El Dorado; a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, December 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Tracy Roden officiating. Burial will follow at the Jolley Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Richard Petri, Devon Coke, James Willis, Justin Sayers.
