William’s Obituary William A. (“Bill”) Halbeisen, Jr., 72, of Manahawkin, passed away peacefully at Genesis Southern Ocean Center on Sunday, January 5, 2020. Born January 25, 1947 in Camden and raised in Medford Lakes, Bill graduated from Lenape High School in 1965. He graduated from St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN in 1969 with a bachelor’s in psychology. He also earned a master’s degree in behavioral psychology from Glassboro State [Rowan]. Bill retired from Southern Ocean High School District in 2006 after a long career in counseling. An avid outdoorsman and boater, Bill enjoyed his retirement on Mill Creek in Beach Haven West, where he docked his beloved 1948 40’ Matthews Sedan Cruiser, “Endless Summer.” Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William Halbeisen, M.D. and Jane Halbeisen, and sisters, Margaret (“Peggy”) Morgan Winter and Susanne King. He is survived by his daughter, Monica Halbeisen, 51, of Cape Coral, FL; grandson, Charles Goodman, 22, of Cape Coral, FL; brothers, Joe Halbeisen, 70, of Durango, CO, Bob Halbeisen, 65, of Fairbanks, AK, and Steve Halbeisen, 54, of Plano, TX; sister, Jane Halbeisen, 59, of Westfield, VT; and ten nephews and nieces. Visitation and memorial services will be held at Mathis Funeral Home, 58 North Main Street, Medford, NJ, on Saturday, March 28, 2020, beginning at 10:00 AM.
