Blackwater, VA VIRGINIA SCOTT BERRY Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. – Proverbs 31:10 Virginia Scott Berry, 81, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 after a brief illness. Virginia’s greatest love was her family as she was the rock that held everyone together. She was a member at Fairview Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. She worked at Packard Electric. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rena Scott; her husband of 57 years, C.A. Berry, Jr.; her son, David Berry; brothers, Billy Ray Scott and Leroy Scott. She is survived by her son, Johnny Berry and wife Patti of Kingsport; daughter, Darla Carter and husband Steve of Fort Blackmore; daughter-in-law, Loretta Berry of Fairview; grandchildren, Felicia Berry, David Berry and wife Jess, Callie Carter, Holton Carter, Clayton Carter, Chasity Medukas and husband Dave and Matthew Harrison; sisters, Betty Jo Lawson, Ruth Powers, Ann Greer, Sue Legg, Beatrice Carter and Brenda Scott; one brother, Lloyd Scott and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Woodard at Fort Sanders Hospital, Dr. Starr and staff at Encompass and Asbury Center in Kingsport, TN. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at Robinette Funeral Home in Blackwater, VA. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Sanders and Pastor Chris Fields officiating. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 26that 2:00 p.m. in the Berry Family Cemetery in Blackwater, VA. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:00 p.m. to travel in procession.
