Theresa’s Obituary Theresa Rose Norton Goin, 88, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 in Eagar. She was born April 20, 1931 in Eagar, the daughter of James Lawrence Norton and Mabel Rose Hofmann Norton. Theresa loved to tat. She tatted enough lace to go the moon and back. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles, trivia books camping and being with family. Theresa served her country in the United States Navy from 1954-1956 and was a proud Navy veteran. She loved America and was very patriotic. Her family was the world to her. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She referred to her son as her “Sonshine.” Theresa had a great sense of humor. While she told you her joke, she would burst out laughing because she knew the punch line already. She was loved by many and always had a big hug for anyone and loved to give them. She always had a smile too. Theresa was a stalwart daughter of God and had a burning testimony of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any local ward missionary fund. Theresa is survived by her son, Derrek Jamar Goin, Eagar; daughters, Kelly Janel Amis, Eagar; Donna Lee Malherbe, Eagar; brothers, Rush Norton, Steven Norton, Jamie Norton, sisters, Mary Jepson, Joye Norton, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Jamar Goin, sister, Yvonne Bigelow, son-in-law, Matthew V. Amis and great granddaughter, Noelle Rose Malherbe. A viewing will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, Eagar. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center. Read More
