1937 2019
Obituary for Shirley M Egan-Troehler (Beattie-Peace) Shirley Beattie-Peace, 81, went home, suddenly, to be with the Lord on December 26, 2019. Shirley was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. When she was 18 years old, Shirley met and married her late husband, James M. Peace, and moved to Fremont, California where she was a loving and devoted mother to 3 children. Shirley is predeceased by husbands James M. Peace and Joseph D. Egan, and son James Anthony “Tony” Peace. She is survived by daughters, Debra DiCiano (Philip Jr.) and Tamara Peace-Hepp (Steven Iannacone), loving compassionate companion, Boen Chambers, beautiful cousin Charyl Smithiger-Genter, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and wonderful friend Michael Berki. When Shirley’s youngest child began school, she attended Oloney College to major in Business and Finance. Not to anyone’s surprise, Shirley made the Dean’s List. While earning her degree, Shirley minored in golfing, and became an avid, passionate player. In 1979, Shirley moved to New Jersey to train dealers, some even in her home, for the opening of Caesars Casino, where she was a pit boss in the Baccarat Pit. Shirley was known for her contagious smile and infectious laugh. Shirley touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. A small memorial in Shirley’s memory will be held at Blue Heron Pines, but will be by invite only. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or The Wounded Warrior Project in Shirley’s honor. Afficher cette page en : Français Traduire Désactiver pour : Anglais Options ▼
