Shirley L. Way peacefully passed away in Monroe, NC on January 3, 2020 after a long battle with Dementia. She was born in Beacon, NY on August 3, 1929 to Charles and Louise (King) Cable. She married Fred J. Way of Beacon on August 10, 1947 who predeceased her in 2009. She is survived by son, Wayne Way and wife Jacalyn Way of Monroe, NC; brother Dennis E. Cable and wife Terri Cable of Fishkill; grandchildren: Mary Way of Beacon, Wayne Way of Monroe, NC and Jenny Way of Indian Trail, NC; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Shirley was predeceased by son, Fred W. Way and brother, Charles Cable. A private service was held in Indian Trail, NC. A graveside service is tentatively planned for Tuesday, January 21 at Fairview Cemetery, 375 Washington Avenue, Beacon. Finalized details will be available soon.
