Scott Allen, 49, of Bloomfield passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday January 26, 2020. Born September 29, 1970 the son of Leon (Pam) Allen and Charlene (Bob) Mullis. Scott was a 1988 graduate of Bloomfield High School, he graduated from Indiana University in 1992 and the Indiana State Police Academy in 1993, Scott served as an Indiana State Trooper from 1993 until 2009, he worked as the WRV Resource Officer and was a substitute teacher at Bloomfield, Scott attended the Bloomfield First Baptist Church. Surviving relatives include his parents, Leon (Pam) Allen, Charlene (Bob) Mullis; his siblings, Chip (Rebecca) Allen, Josh (Liz) Mullis, Shane (Lindsay) Skinner, Shawna (Greg) Swanson, Bob Dixon, one grandparent, Etta Mae Nation and his nieces and nephews, Lucy and Millie Allen, Jaxon, Braxton and Xavien Mullis, Shaylee and Lane Skinner, Hank and Miles Skomp, Alyssa Buskirk, Derek Dixon, several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Mabel Allen, Charles and Betty Brown, Davie Nation, Phyllis Nation and Gene and Norma Mullis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church and 10 A.M. Thursday until the hour of service at the Church. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
