Obituary Richard “Dicky” Lee Crisp, age 72, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 23, 2020 at his residence. His loved ones were by his side. Born in Lenoir, North Carolina on July 22, 1947, he was the son of Margie Crisp of Marion and the late Richard T. Crisp. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Keith Crisp who passed away November 09, 1999. Following over 40 years of service and up until they closed, Dicky retired from Broyhill where he made many friends through the years. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially working on the farm with his father, golfing and fishing. Most of all, Dicky enjoyed the times he spent with his family and friends. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by, in addition to his mother, his loving wife of 35 years, Susan A. Crisp; three children, Paul Crisp (Tammy), Jennifer Snyder (Chris) and Kelly Crisp (Jessica); and four grandchildren, Alana, Katie, Cameron and Sadie. Dicky is also survived by his four uncles who were more like brothers, Glen Crisp, JP Crisp, Louis Crisp and Lester Crisp; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Dennis Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
