Mary Tyler Allen, 91 of Union Grove, the Brocks Chapel Community, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Barfield Health Care. Mrs. Allen was born January 13, 1928 in Limestone County to Walter F. Davis and Edna Cooley Davis. She worked as a clerk at Warehouse Grocery until she retired. She enjoyed working, reading and her flowers. She especially loved taking care of her son, Sonny. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Barbara J. Feemster and David; and her brothers: Marvin Davis and Thomas Davis; her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Sharon Massengill and Eddie, Julie Pritchett and T.J., Larry Black, Courtney Nix, Morgan Nix, Samantha Chandler, Ashley Westley and Daniel Westley. She was preceded in death by her husband’s: Herman Tyler and Luther Allen; her son: Sonny Tyler; her parents: Walter F. and Edna Cooley Davis; her brothers: Floyd Davis, Homer Lee Davis, Winford Davis and Clarence Davis; her sister Gracie Atchley. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday January 27, 2020 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Bryan C. Mosley and Kenneth Smith, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be David Feemster, Larry Black, T.J. Pritchett, Billy Williams, Ricky Davis and Bobby Davis. Honorary Pallbearer will be Eddie Massengill Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday January 26, 2020 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
