Mary Lynch Ferreri, 90, passed away on January 28, 2020 in Baltimore, MD. She was born on May 4, 1929 in Pikesville, MD, the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Andrews Lynch. Mary was a student at the Catholic University in 1947 where she met her future husband, George P. Ferreri. They married ten months later, and she put her college aspirations on hold until much later. After having 4 children, in 1962, she returned to college to complete her degree and had her 5th child while doing this. She graduated in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in education. She then taught English in the Pikesville Middle School and later Pikesville Senior High School from 1971 until 1997. Mrs. Ferreri was an avid reader completing at least 1 and often 2 books a week. She enjoyed travel and was particularly fond of her trips to Ireland and Italy. She is survived by her five children; Marilyn Booker (Dennis) of Frankford, DE, George P. Ferreri(Margaret), Jr. of Crofton, MD, Stephen Ferreri (Susan) of Selbyville, DE, Paul Ferreri (Stacy) of Cordova, MD, and Claudia Byrnes of Baltimore, MD, her 13 grandchildren, D. Reed Booker, Mary Dolores Booker, G. Peter Ferreri III, Stephen Ferreri Jr., Mark Andrew Ferreri, Alexandra Seipp, Hannah Ferreri, Erin Colleen Byrnes, Courtney Byrnes, Laura McNeive, Heather Nash, Paul Ferreri Jr., Jason Ferreri, and her 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, George P. Ferreri, who died in 2002, her son in law Michael Byrnes, and her granddaughter Colleen Ferreri. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9 pm at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., 200 S. Harrison St., Easton. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1210 S. Washington St., Easton. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery in Queenstown.
