Obituary Lorraine Casavant, 100, of Biddeford, passed away on the evening of January 28, 2020 at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco. She was born on March 21, 1919 in Biddeford, daughter of George and Alexina (Moulin) Simard. She was educated locally, graduating from Biddeford High School. In 1941, Lorraine married Belmont Casavant at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford. They were married for 41 years before his passing in 1982. Lorraine worked as a yard goods clerk for many years at Delisle Yard Goods on Main St. in Biddeford, as well as WT Grant and Rich’s, retiring in 1987. Lorraine was very skillful in working with her hands, and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She is survived by her daughter, Constance Shaw of Old Orchard Beach, son Marc Casavant and his wife Rachel of Lyman, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, She was predeceased by her parents, husband Belmont Casavant, and sister Rose Bourassa in 1966. A graveside service will take place on Monday, February 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.hopememorial.com.
