He was born in Wichita on Monday, August 5th, 1968 to Larry Edward and Verda Nadine (Shipman) Fields. They both proceeded him in death. Jeff worked at Sauder Lygrisse GMC dealership, served on the Sedgwick Police force and worked as a drywall finisher for Drywall Systems in Wichita. On February 14, 2012, he married Nancy Ekstrom in Wichita. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching their sporting events, camping, fishing and hunting, and golfing. Survivors include: his wife Nancy, three sons, Cody Fields (Kelci) of Park City, Shane Fields and Hayden Fields both of Wichita; three step-daughters Karen Garrett (Charlie) , Tearsa Thornburg (Jesse) and Amber Beebe, all of Wichita; two brothers, Ed Fields of Clay Center and Scott Fields (Beth) of Sedgwick and 9 grandchildren. Graveside services are Saturday, February 1st, 2020 @ 10 a.m. @ Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Sedgwick Recreational Commission. Checks should be made payable to Jeff Fields Memorial fund and sent to Sedgwick Recreational Commission, P.O. Box 45, Sedgwick, Kansas 67135.
