Woodland Hills (507) 387 – 5504 Harlene “Holly” Iris (Williams) Frohling, Mankato, 79, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at MCHS – Mankato. Memorial services will be held at 3pm Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the services at Woodland Hills. Holly was born December 26, 1940 to Harlan and Sadie (Austin) Williams in Cresco, IA and was raised in Lime Springs, IA. She graduated from Lime Springs High School in 1959; she then continued her education at the University of Iowa receiving her Practical Nursing Degree, Mankato State receiving her RN degree, and at St. Thomas receiving her MBA in Nursing. She worked as a nurse at ISJ Hospital in Mankato for over 25 years before moving to Houston, Texas where she worked at the Methodist Hospital for 13 years. She was united in marriage to Arlyn “Al” Frohling in August 1963 in Lime Springs, the two later divorced. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, birds, going to VINE, and her dogs. Holly was part of a Bridge group for 52 years, even staying in touch the 13 years she was in Texas. She is survived by her son, Bill Frohling of Owatonna; daughter, Kris (Dean Greger) Frohling; grandson, Zander; step grandsons; Corey and Shawn Schmidt; brother, Keith (Pat) Williams of Cedar Rapids, IA; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Kay Hays; and dog, Zoe. She is preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Al; daughter in –law, Veronica Frohling; sister in-law Pat Williams; niece, Amy Williams; and dog, Daisy.
