Grover Bennett Hammonds “Ben”, age 81 of Oak Grove, passed away peacefully on Monday January 27, 2020 with his wife, children and grandchildren by his side. Ben was preceded in death by his Father and Mother Cleon Hammonds and Pauline Walden Hammonds. He was survived by his wife of 61 years Fala South Hammonds; children Kevin Hammonds ( Sherrie) and Kecia Dunlap; grandchildren, Kyle Hammonds, Meagan Hammonds, Lindsey Frost (Jason), Shae Thomas (Josh); great grandchildren Annalea Hammonds, Harper Hammonds, Gus Hammonds, Eden Thomas, Tate Frost, Brax Thomas and Rhueby Hammonds. The visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM, Wednesday January 29, 2020, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service and celebration of Ben’s life will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove First Baptist Cemetery.
