Earl Boyd Purk August 29, 1940 – January 17, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Earl Boyd Purk, age 79, of Bentley, KS, formerly of Wellington, passed away Friday morning, January 17, 2020 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis – Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center in Wichita, KS. He was a retired truck driver for L. B. White Trucking. Earl was born on August 29, 1940 in Belle Plaine, KS to Gordon Earl Purk and Nona Irene (Gifford) Purk. He served in the United States Navy. Earl married Treva Charlene Kilts on January 18, 1959 in Wichita, KS. She preceded him in death on November 7, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Treva; two brothers, John and Gary Purk; and one grandson. Survivors include his sons, Craig Purk of Sedgwick, KS and Eric Purk of Valley Center, KS; daughters, Donita Shaw of Burns, KS, Tamara Prewitt of Bently, KS, and Jackie Purk of Wichita, KS; sister, Wanda Burnett of Salbury, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Belle Plaine Cemetery. Pastor Zane Brooks will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
