Dorothy A. Harbert, 86, of Terryville passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Dorothy was born December 17, 1933 in Terryville, CT, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes (Miller) Harbert. Dorothy was a graduate of Terryville High School and Becker College of Worcester, MA. She retired from the State of Connecticut Judicial Department after thirty-three years of service. A lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Terryville, Dorothy served on the Parish Life Committee and the Altar Guild. Dorothy loved to travel and felt very fortunate to have traveled to many states and countries throughout her life. Dorothy was a great lover of animals, especially cats, many of which she provided with a loving home. Dorothy loved music, especially Country Western and proclaimed herself to be one of Willie Nelson’s biggest fans. Also a big fan of the UCONN women’s basketball team, Dorothy attended many games, always with her dear friend Judith Ackley. Dorothy will be missed by many cousins, friends, and their families. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Terryville will be private and at the convenience of the family. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
