Charlotte Kelly, 76, of Elmer passed away on January 24, 2020. A lifelong resident of Salem County, she was the daughter of the late Clinton L. and Irene (Varner) Jones. Charlotte was a devoted spiritual woman and she regular attended the Nazarene churches in Alloway, then in Hopewell Township. She was an avid Phillies fan and she loved to travel with her husband and family, especially camping and they would spend five weeks every year going to the Teton Mountains in Wyoming. Charlotte will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister as she truly enjoyed her family, especially the grand and great grandkids. Charlotte is survived by her daughter Donna (née Bown) Engle (Ron); her stepson Pete D. Kelly; her grandchildren Rachel (Brock), Julie (Debbie), Evan and Adrian; her great grandchildren Travis, Alana, Addison and Parker; her siblings Laura Loper, Irene Northam (Gary) and Rev. Clinton Jones (Eleanor); several nieces and nephews; and her dog Ladybug. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband David Kelly, her granddaughter Laina and her brother Richard Jones. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, all at the First Church of the Nazarene, 350 W. Park Drive, Bridgeton, NJ 08302. There will be a visitation starting at 10 AM leading to the service at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Hopewell Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlotte’s memory to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org.
