Charlotte’s Obituary Mrs. Charlotte Ann Jackson Tucker, age 63, a native and resident of the Allen Community of Grove Hill, AL was born September 22, 1956 to the parentage of Mrs. Lillie Mae Scruggs Jackson and late Mr. Eddie James Jackson. As her loving children surrounded her and held her precious hands, Mrs. Tucker peacefully exchanged life for eternity on January 10, 2020 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Mrs. Tucker was a faithful and dutiful member of Saint Peter Baptist Church in Allen where she served as Secretary of the Church and she also sang in the choir. She truly loved the Lord and served tirelessly for the betterment of her church. Sis. Tucker truly worked while it was day, for night came, and now the work she has done speaks for her. Her hobbies included shopping at Dirt Cheap, picking vegetables, attending gospel singings, listening to gospel music, and watching television. Mrs. Tucker was a 1974 graduate of Clarke County High School and furthered her education at Patrick Henry Junior College in Monroeville, AL; currently Alabama Coastal Community College. She was employed as a cashier at B&F Farm & Supply Store for 14 years, where she built many lasting friendships. She was known to be willing to help anyone who needed it. It is an understatement to say, “to know her, was to love her”. In addition to her father, she was preceded in eternity by her paternal grandparents, General Jackson, Lula Jackson; maternal grandmother, Elsie Bell; her husband, David Tucker; a niece, Christy Gail Leggett, and brother-in-law, Rev. Lynn Campbell. She is forever cherished in the hearts of her four loving and devoted children; one son, Dermerrick Tucker of Grove Hill (Allen), Alabama; three daughters, Teneka (Robert) Brown of Columbus, MS; Brenae Tucker of Grove Hill (Allen), AL, and Charla Tucker of Tuscaloosa, AL; loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Lillie Mae Jackson of Grove Hill (Allen), AL; four brothers, Norris (Gloria) Jackson of Lancaster, CA; Milton Jackson of Grove Hill, AL; Kenneth (Debra) Jackson of Union Springs, AL; Karl (Iris) Jackson of Grove Hill (Allen), AL; one sister, Crystal Campbell of Pennington, AL; four grandchildren, Jaleah Raine, Desirae Robinson Jr., Dekerrah Robinson, and Jalesiya Harris; a host of dear nieces, three especially dear, Maria, Danielle, and Brianna; a host of dear nephews, six especially dear, Kentrell, Quinton, Kenneth, Jr., JaKarl, Eddie, and Brandon “BJ”; one great-nephew, Taylor; a host of other loving and devoted relatives and friends.
