Mrs. Carol A. Nixon aged 57 went to be with her Lord, Friday January 24, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Myers and Doris McLeod. Surviving are her husband of 31 years, John; children, Brittany (David) Sica, Bethany Nixon, Aubrey (Mason) Lewis and Josiah Nixon; grandson, Cooper Chambers; brothers, Thomas (Carol) McLeod, Michael McLeod and Jon McLeod; sisters, Virginia McLeod-Cook (Jimmy), Karen (Pete) Hightower; also surviving are John’s parents, Jack and Caroline Nixon; his siblings, Sherry (Rick) Allen, Tim (Laralynn) Nixon, Eve (Jim) Good; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 6:00PM Thursday January 30, 2020 at West Cannon Baptist Church, 5760 Cannonsburg Rd. NE. Her family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday from 5PM to 7PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel – Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. NE., and Thursday from 5PM to 6PM at West Cannon Baptist Church. Memorial contributions in Carol’s memory may be made to Spectrum Health Foundation Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavillion give.spectrumhealth.org/donate.
