During this time, he developed an interest in computers and, as a very young student, broke the time record for completing the correspondence school’s computer course. That interest soon became a skill he could use to serve and bless others as he rebuilt people’s computer systems and helped remove viruses from their computers. He served a Full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Boise Idaho mission. On returning home he went to Eastern Arizona College where he met the love of his life, Nikki Johnston. They soon married, and after briefly living in St David, went to live in Mesa. While in Mesa, Brian worked in a call center supporting computer modems. After living there for a while, they decided to move to St David, where Brian worked to help people with signing up for Medicare plans. Awhile later, Brian was told about an opportunity to work for Dakota Pro, an internet provider, installing internet for people in the St David area. This had a lot to do with his skill set and allowed him serve people and improve their lives, something that Brian loved to do. Brian’s life was one of service to his fellow-man and of following his Savior, Jesus Christ.
