Obituary Audrey Lee Berry Allison, age 84, of Old Fort, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on the night of Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her residence with her loved ones by her side. A native of Burke County, North Carolina, born on December 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Florence Townsend Berry. She was preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Alan Zimmerman; and one brother, Wayne Berry. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Audrey, having just had her 52nd wedding anniversary on January 6th, is survived by her husband, Ray Allison; one daughter, Cynthia Wise (Ernie); one brother, Don Berry (Linda); two sisters, Martha Berry Warlick (Jerry) and Carolyn Berry Morgan; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Rev. Phillip Wishon officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Old Fort. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
