Arthur’s Obituary Arthur Edward Smith, 68, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 in Beaumont, Texas. Memorial Celebration services for Mr. Smith will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel. A public viewing will be held from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 and visitation on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel, under the directions of Mercy Funeral Home. Arthur’s fond memories will remain in the hearts of his sons, Arthur Smith Semien of Merritt Island, Florida, Brock and Cleveland Chambers of Beaumont, Texas; daughter, Carolyn Mitchell of Beaumont, Texas; seven sisters: Alice Robinson and Margaret Smith of Evergreen, Louisiana, Hazel Acclis and Dorothy Smith of Beaumont, Texas, Sally Stanley of Morgan City, Louisiana, Cathleen and Lydia Smith of Texas; two brothers: Edward Charles Smith “Smitty” of Gun Barrel City, Texas, and Charles Edward Smith “Jackie Boy”of Beaumont, Texas, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
