William “Chip”‘s Obituary William E. “Chip Riggs, Jr. age 73 of Fremont passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha. He was born April 6, 1946 at Walthill, Nebraska to William E. and Margarite L. (Bales) Riggs. Chip grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 1964. He worked for Farmland aka Overland. Chip married Kathlene (Cusick) on October 26, 1967. Kathie passed away July 24, 2016. Chip enjoyed reading, watching Gunsmoke and other cowboy westerns, he liked garage sales and really liked putting a smile on peoples faces. Survivors include, his son Joe (Gay Lynn) Riggs of Norfolk, Nebraska; brothers, R.J. “Dick” (Joanne) Riggs of Omaha and James Riggs of Columbus, Nebraska; sisters, Debbie Kinkenon and Joyce Mangum both of Fremont; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Andra and Daniel and sister-in-law, Laurie Riggs of North Bend, Nebraska. Preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Howard; sister, Wanda K. Dodge and 3 brothers, John, Gary and Thomas Riggs. Memorial Service will be 3:30 P.M., Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Memorial Visitation will be from 2-3:30 PM, Thursday prior to the service. Memorial are suggested to the Dodge County Humane Society. Moser Memorial Chapel, 2170 N.
