Wilburn’s Obituary CHARLESTON, IL – Wilburn Wayne Hutson, Jr., age 75 of Charleston, departed from his earthly home on Monday, December 9, 2019. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Funeral Service, honoring and celebrating his life, will follow at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Donations in Wilburn’s honor may be made to his wife, Anna Faye Hutson to assist with future expenses. Gifts may be left at the visitation/service or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Dr., Charleston, IL 61920. Will, as he was affectionately known, was born July 15, 1944 in Charleston, Illinois, one of two sons born to the late Wilburn W. and Nellie (Burke) Hutson, Sr. He was a 1962 graduate of Charleston High School and furthered his education at Eastern Illinois University. On August 8, 1965, Will married Anna Faye Adcox, and they have shared 54 years of marriage. In addition to Faye, he is survived by four loving children, Hope Kuhn of Kansas, Illinois, Trevas Hutson and wife Jerilyn and Chastity Parker and husband David, all of Charleston, and Adam Hutson and longtime girlfriend, Anita Sparling of Yale, Illinois. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren who knew him as “Pa Pa”, Maria Pharr and husband Greg, Mary Grace Kuhn, Eva Kuhn, Evan Hutson, Aysha Hutson, Bryce Hutson, Katie Hutson, Ryan Hutson, Clayton Hutson, and Trenton Hutson; and his brother, Dan Hutson of Mattoon. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Leroy “Curley” Kuhn. Will was employed at Eastern Illinois University as Director of Duplicating Services in the University Print Center, retiring in 2002 following 30 years of dedicated service. In his younger years, Will became a member of First Christian Church in Charleston, through holy baptism. He was community oriented and actively involved with the Charleston Jaycees for a number of years. He was also a member of the Charleston Moose Lodge #1388 and Charleston Elks B.P.O.E. #623. Will was creative and blessed with an artistic ability. He was extremely intelligent and his knowledge of computers and their components was to be admired. His love of graphic design and his creativity was exhibited daily through the many wooden and electronic creations which his tinkering produced. His family will always remember the many wonderfully decorated cakes he made for birthdays and special occasions, often accompanied by his homemade cards. He loved bowling, jazz music and was witty with a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed many friendships, and was especially close to those he shared coffee and conversation with at the former What’s Cookin’ and Lincoln Garden Restaurants.
