Wayland “Buz” Leopold Walker III, 75, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at his home. He was born July 8, 1944 in Hays to Wayland L., Jr. and Ruth (Skaggs) Hillard. On November 15, 1974, he married Kathryn M. (Ballou) in Durant, Oklahoma. She survives. Buz was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Pratt. He was co-owner of A-R Roofing, LLC. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting guns, playing tennis, cooking, welding and spending time with his family. He was a warm and loving person. He is survived by his wife, Kathie; daughters, Amy Michelle Woerz of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Kristen Dianne (Steve) Scoggin of Dallas, Texas; sons, Aaron Clay (Kori) Walker of Pratt and Andrew Charles Walker of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Bob (Melissa) Walker of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; sisters, Jennifer Evans and Martha (Mark) Ressen of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren, Blake Allen Woerz, Brooke Elizabeth Scoggin, Lauren Michelle Woerz, Jack Edward Scoggin, Peyton Elizabeth Walker, Penn Minoru Walker, and Parker Clay Walker. Wayland is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family recieving friends from 6-8 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Larrison Mortuary with Pastor Steve Taylor presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt. Memorials may be made to Babyland Improvements at Greenlawn Cemetery in care of Larrison Mortuary.
