She was born to the late Edward Lee and Luebirda Garrett in Leaf, MS. Valerie graduated from Magnolia High School in Moss Point, MS with the class of 1970. She was preceded in death by her son Reginald Lovell Garrett; parents, Edward & Luebirda Garrett; brothers, James A. Galloway and Jackie Ray Garrett. She leaves to cherish her memories: A beloved and devoted friend, William “Roc” Beasley of Atlanta, GA, loving siblings, Cozetta Woods of Moss Point, MS, Sandra Parker of Mt. Juliet, TN, Graylyn Bolton, Aljea Garrett, Gloretha Garrett and Sarah (Alvin) Smith all of Moss Point, MS, Tammie Garrett of Decatur, GA, Raffort Garrett of Fort Worth, TX and sister-in-law Thelma Galloway of Farmington Hills, MI along with a host of nieces and nephews.
