Homer Milton Blakeney, age 61, passed away on December 27, 2019. Mr. Blakeney was born on October 11, 1958 in Hattiesburg, MS and he was self-employed as a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Virginia Blakeney; grandparents, Jim and May Blakeney and Simpson and Matilda Holston; and uncle, Charles Blakeney. Survivors include his sister, Margaret Blakeney Hancock; nephew, Richie Buckley and wife, Sarah; niece, Tiffany Robertson and husband, Brad; great nephews/niece, Lucas Buckley, Tegan Buckley, Jude Robertson, Corbin Robertson, and Tucker Robertson. Services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Taylorsville, MS on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and the service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Rev. Frankie Clark will officiate.
