Leyland’s Obituary Leyland Lloyd “Dick” Queen age 78 of Elizabeth, WV passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. He was born December 12, 1941 in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Dewey and Monie McCarthy Queen. Dick retired after 34 years from Ames Shovel Plant. He enjoyed being with family and friends, listening to music and playing bingo. He will be deeply missed. Dick is survived by his four children, Holly Abicht (Denver) of Marietta, Anna Queen of Marietta, Jackie Queen (Jimmy) of Parkersburg and Duane Queen (Regina) of Urbana; his brother, Ricky Queen; his sister, Janet Hayhurst (Roy); sister-in-laws, Carman Queen and Marie Modesitt; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Freshour Queen; four brothers and two sister-in-laws, Dewey Queen (Ann), Howard Queen, Fain Queen (Lucille) and Carrie Queen. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Danny Schreckengost officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm. Sunday at the funeral home.
