Nicol, age 63, of Marlette, MI passed away with family by his side Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw, MI. He was born October 13, 1956 in Caro, MI, son of Carl E. and Joyce Fern (McAlpine) Nicol. Keith graduated from Marlette High School with the Class of 1975. He married the love of his life Lori Allan on April 10, 1981 at Marlette First United Methodist Church in Marlette, MI and they were married for 38 years. Keith’s love of woodworking led him to become owner and operator of Keith Nicol Construction, where he used his talents to help fulfill the dreams of others. He was a member of Marlette First United Methodist Church and the Marlette Fire Department since 1975. Keith loved spending time with his family and volunteering in the community. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and drinking with his bowling team. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Keith will be remembered most for his selfless nature, easy smile, ice blue eyes and booming laugh. Keith is survived by his wife, Lori Nicol; three daughters, Ashley Nicol (Dereck Frosch), Holly (Brandon) Zuehlke and Kara Joy M. Nicol (Michael Bockheim); grandsons, Braeden Zuehlke and Thaddeus Frosch; father, Carl E. Nicol; brother, Wayne Nicol; sister, Penny (Jeff) Ruchgy; father and mother-in-law, Reverend John and Karen Allan; brothers-in-law, Don Allan and Tom Orton; several aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Nicol; and sister, Carla Orton. The family will receive visitors from 2 – 8 PM Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Marsh Funeral Chapel – Marlette and 10 AM until time of the service Monday, December 23, 2019 at the church. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Monday, December 23, 2019 at Marlette First United Methodist Church with Pastor George Ayoub officiating Burial will follow at Marlette Cemetery in Marlette, MI. Memorial Contributions may be made to Marlette First United Methodist Church, Marlette Fire Department or Edward and Viviene Huntoon Memorial Scholarship Fund.
