Remely, Jr., 77, of Groveville, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Trenton, Joseph was a lifetime area resident and worked for the State of New Jersey, Department of Corrections for 38 years. A US Navy veteran, he was a past chief of the Groveville Fire Department and also served as the Fire Commissioner for District 9. Joseph’s passion was Scouting, he was former Cub Scout leader for Pack 87, was an assistant Scout Master and committee member of Troop 91 and held the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow. Joseph also enjoy NASCAR, was an avid model train builder and was a talented woodworker. Son of the late Joseph and Cora Remely, he is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Donna Remely as well as his family including sons, stepdaughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, December 10th from 6-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will be private with the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Joseph’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or at Print Obituary
