Jerry’s Obituary Jerry W. “Barefoot” Johnson, age 72, of Albion, passed away on December 27, 2019 at his home. He was born on December 28, 1946 to Archie and Frances (Hamman) Johnson in Auburn, IN. He married Lynn Ann (Criswell) Crawford in Sevierville, TN on March 30, 1992. Mr. Johnson graduated from Southside High School in Fort Wayne. He then served his country honorably in the United States Army. He retired from International Wire in Kendallville. Jerry was a member of the Albion American Legion Post 246. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed gardening, woodworking, his yard and was a huge animal lover. He will be remembered as a good-hearted man and will be missed by many. Jerry is survived by his wife, Lynn Johnson of Albion; step-son, Tony Crawford of Rome City; a sister, Vicki (Scott) Sholty of Fort Wayne; a niece, Jodi (Mike) Mason of Muncie; 7 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sally; a brother, Jack, and a stepdaughter Michelle Randol along with her husband Randy. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center. No services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Noble County Humane Shelter. Read More
