Horace “Buddy”‘s Obituary H. J. “Buddy” McAdams Jr. crossed over the River of Life on September 17, 2019, and will be buried at Merit, Texas, with a graveside memorial service, Friday, December 6th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Buddy is preceded in death by R. M. Forester, grandfather, Annie Gertrude Forester McAdams, mother, Bill and Ora Molen, uncle and aunt, and his sisters Anna Gayle McAdams Roseman and Shirley Rhea McAdams Drouilhet, all who have previously resided in the Greenville area. Buddy leaves behind his nephew, Mike Drouilhet and wife Karen of Leesville, Louisiana and two nieces Stephanie and Wendy, and close friends Jack and Melanie Struska of Houston. Buddy was a Korean War veteran, a member of the Galveston Sea Scouts where he served as Quarter Master. He was a private pilot, a member of the Jaycee’s, and had a 44 year tenure with TransTexas, Texas International and Continental Airlines. As dusk fades over Merit on Friday, December 6th a lone bugler will play military Taps twice honoring the military war veterans interred at Merit.
