She is now reunited in Heaven with her Grandparents and Aunts whom transitioned before her, as well as her parents, Mr. Haywood Starks and Mrs. Margie Boone Lee; husband, Mr. Lowell U. “Bill” Bailey; daughter, Debra S. “DeeDee” Bailey; son, Lowell A. “Speedy” Bailey; and sister, Ann Brown. She loved them ALL Dearly and missed them. Gladys was born in Richmond, VA and was the graduate of Maggie Walker High School. She accepted the LORD as his Savior at an early age and was baptized at Zion Baptist Church of South Richmond, where she enjoyed many years of serving. In her most recent years, she had united with Kingdom Principles Ministries, where she enjoyed fellow shipping and singing with Family and Friends… Gladys worked for many years as a Teacher’s Aide with the City of Richmond Public School System, as well as she worked as a Seasonal Worker with USPS for a whole. Even though she enjoyed working and being of service to others, her true PASSION was taking care of her Husband and Kids…She LOVED and cherished them so much…She was also the “Family Historian,” and could not only tell anyone the Family History, but also EVERYONE’S Birthday!!! They were embedded in her head and she never forgot anyone…She made sure that one way or another, she was going to call you on your Birthday to personally give you her Happy Birthday Wishes…She was Amazing! Flook never let anyone forget who was the Best Football Team EVER, Her Dallas Cowboys!!!. She would often come in from Church and sit in her favorite chair and just beam and enjoy the game for hours, while talking sassy…When she wore that chair out, her Godson Nicky brought her a bigger and better one, and told her that she could now keep sitting and hollering for her team in her favorite spot, while looking at television speaking her peace, looking out her front window as she kept an eye on the neighborhood and enjoying her Hersheys Chocolate candy bars! It was guaranteed that whenever you came through her door, that you would be greeted with a smile & a laugh! Gladys leaves her very Loving and Devoted Family to Cherish Beautiful Memories, her daughter who was her Primary Caregiver for many years, and whom she affectionately loved as “Loopy,” Belinda F. Williams, grandsons, Jamaal Bailey and Roger Williams, Jr. (Melody); great-granddaughter, Bella Bailey; uncle, Floyd Boone, Jr.; godchildren, Jeffrey “Nicky” Collins and Beverly Collins; two nieces, one nephew and numerous cousin, among them, a devoted Dorothy Finch, whom she loved as a sister; and other relatives and friends, among them a devoted, Rev.
