Debra’s Obituary Grantsboro, NC Debra Ellen Loar Lowery, 66, passed away at her home Sunday, December 29, 2019 with her family by her side. She was a longtime resident of Pamlico County and was a member of Goose Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Robert Loar; her brother John Loar, and her son, Sonny James Lowery, Jr. Ms. Debra was a loving and hard working woman who helped anyone in need. The last few months of her life, showed her true fighting spirit, pushing through her pain, letting all her family know she loved them dearly. Her pain and suffering her on earth has ended and she’s with her son again, after 30 years. Her family holds dear the happy memories of a full life. A visitation celebrating Ms. Debra’s life will be Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 6-8:00 PM, at Pollock~Best Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.pollockbest.com. Ms. Debra is survived by her one true love, Sonny J. Lowery, Sr.; her daughter Debra Lynn Lowery Slade; her three grandchildren, Brittney Lowery, Donna Hunt and Earl Hunt; and her three great grandchildren, Cameron Northan, Sonny Garvick, and Enzo Lowery. She also leaves behind her brother, Robert Loar; sister, Mary Davis; her sister-in-law, Ruth Dixon; brother-in-law, William Lowery; and many nieces and nephews.
