Claude William “Bill”‘s Obituary Obituary Claude William “Bill” Jacobson, 70 Claude William “Bill” Jacobson, 70, of Hyrum, UT passed away December 9, 2019 in Hyrum, Utah. He was born August 21, 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT, the son of Claude William Jacobson, Sr and Virginia Jacobson. He grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He married Violet Elaine Shaw in 1971. She preceded him in death in 1995. Bill was a lover of music and played in multiple local bands in his youth and more recently he and his son, Michael performed events hosted at the Eagles Lodge in Idaho Falls from time to time. He would have liked to have made his living as a musician. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various callings along the way. He enjoyed doing temple and genealogy work. Although he was not always active, he had a strong testimony. He owned and operated Jacobson’s Quality Painting in Washington, Idaho and Utah. Bill worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Utah State University. He is survived by his two children, Michael (Jessica) Jacobson and Loma (Bradley) Ling; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Bryan and a sister Patty. A service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Blackfoot 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 660 Teton Rd.
