Carol Sue Sandlin, 61, of Austin, Indiana passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at her residence Born January 30, 1958 in Scottsburg, IN, she was the daughter of the late Cephas and Opal (Caudill) Hale. She was a retired cook from Scott Memorial Hospital and she was a member of Mt. Parion Baptist Church in Austin. Survivors include her children, Joey (Jill) Napier, North Vernon, Indiana and Lisa (Steve) Helton, Austin, Indiana Stepson: Daniel Sandlin, Scottsburg, Indiana Brothers: Freddie (Jennifer) Hale, Austin, Indiana and Cephas (Put) Hale, Lakeland, Washington Sister: Lisa (Verlin) McIntosh, Crothersville, Indiana. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Logan and Luke Napier, Brady Lesnet & Keisha Caudill, and great-granddaughter, Addy Burnett. She was preceded in death by parents and husband, Gary Sandlin Funeral Service: 3:00 pm Friday, January 3, 2020 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana with Rev. Gary Baker officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Thursday and after 9 am Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home. Burial will be at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
