Bud Doyle, 80, of Columbus passed from this life on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Born on February 20, 1939 in Johnson County, Indiana the son of Hurschell and Evelyn Tearman Doyle. On October 26, 1991 he married Mildred Joyce Rose. Mr. Doyle was a truck driver and enjoyed racing TQ midgets with his sons and owning the #20 car, trucking, and visiting his horse. His love for trucking carried over into teaching others how to drive a semi-truck. In the 1980’s he was awarded the Safe Driver award from Cummins. Survivors include his children, John (Sandy) Doyle of Martinsville, Tammy Doyle of Tucson, Arizona, Leigh Doyle of Tucson, Arizona, Jimmy Doyle of Martinsville, Tim (Tabitha) Beatty of Columbus, Joe (Maria) Doyle of White, Georgia, Gail Yates of Muncie, and Julie Doyle of Columbus; step children, Jeannie Cain of Westport and Jennifer (Brian) Ross of Scipio; sister, Susie (Jim) Fulford of Bloomington; brother, Raymond (Pat) Doyle of Bloomington; 38 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Joyce Doyle on December 8, 2010; son, Barry Doyle in January 1996; grandson, Staff Sergeant Jeremy Doyle in August 2005 while actively serving in Iraq; siblings, Opal Baker, David Doyle; and Jim Doyle. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Family and friends may call for visitation on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and also on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to time of service. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
