Obituary Bonita Jean “Bonny” McElwain, 62 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019. She was born July 31, 1957 in Gary, the daughter of Delvin and Evelyn (Herrick) Hall, Sr. Bonita was a scanning coordinator with Strack & VanTil. Surviving are her daughters, Cassandra (Jeremy) Muryasz and Caterina McElwain of Valparaiso, 2 grandsons, Dominic and Everett, her siblings Diane Carpenter, Delvin Hall, Jr, Larry Hall, Jacqueline Rajski, Charles Hall, Bradley Hall, John Hall, Becky Motley, Edie Biller, Chris Hall and Karl Hall. Her long time companion Ray Anderson also survives her. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Michael Hall, brother-in-laws Jeffrey Carpenter and Dennis Biller and sister-in-law Nora Hall. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 20, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso Rev. Jeff Burton officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
