Bobbie’s Obituary Ivor – Barbara Pierce “Bobbie” Ellis, 77, passed away December 15, 2019 in Parsons Residential Care Center in Chesapeake. Born in Suffolk, Bobbie was a daughter of the late George Lilton and Ella Mae Munford Pierce. She was a 1961 graduate of Windsor High School and a school bus driver for Southampton County Public Schools for over 30 years. Bobbie was a member of Maranatha Bible Church in Windsor. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years D. Wayne Ellis; daughter Janet Ellis Carpenter (Ronnie) of Midland; son Douglas Wayne Ellis, Jr. (Beverly) of Ivor; three sisters Betty Modlin of Franklin, Nancy Howell (RA) of Windsor, and Pat Hairston (Chip) of Roanoke; one brother Donnie “Buddy” Pierce (Marcia) of Windsor and three grandchildren Coley Carpenter and Meaghan and Hunter Ellis; and a sister-in-law Brenda Bradshaw of Sedley, along with many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home.
