Alice Truzell Durham June 24, 1936 – December 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Alice Truezell Durham, affectionately known as “Dell” was born on June 24, 1936 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Rev Jessie and Fannie Williams. She departed this earthly life for eternal rest to her Heavenly home, on December 6, 2019 at her home in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Alice accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She joined Macedonia Community Church under the leadership of Elder Alfred H. McCain, Senior. Alice was educated in the District of Columbia Public School system. She attended Cardozo Senior High School. She was a dedicated secretary for the International Commerce in Washington, DC, were she worked for 37 years until her retirement in 1994. Alice was well loved by all her coworkers, family and friends. Alice was a member of the Senior Choir and served as church secretary. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, making arts and crafts and reading her Bible. She loved ice and rolling skating along with bowling too. She was very generous, fun loving and had a special sense of humor. Neither distance nor time kept Alice from maintaining lifelong friendships. She displayed everlasting love and generosity for her husband, son, nieces and nephews. Her friends and family always knew they could count on her for words of encouragement, understanding and support. She looked forward to the holidays so that she could spend time with her entire family. Alice was anchored in Christ. Her relationship with God was illuminated through her gift of quoting scriptures. To the very end of her earthly life, Alice believed in God for her divine healing as she kept the faith. She fought the good fight of faith as she prepared for her Heavenly home. She is now in perfect peace! Alice was preceded in death by her daughter, “Baby Girl”; father, Rev. Jessie Williams; dear mother, Fannie Williams; and brother, Jessie Williams Jr. Alice will be lovingly remembered by, her husband Clenzo Durham Sr.; son Clenzo Durham Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   1. I remember Mrs. Alice as such a beautiful, inside and out, women of God. I met her in the 70’s thru her son. Mrs. Alice was always a stylish dresser. I am praying for the family and friends. May God continue to bless you comfort each of you.
