Obituary of Dean Pope Harry Dean Pope, 63, husband of Julie Dianne Gray Pope, passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 at his home. Born on April 9, 1956, in Georgetown, he was a son of Claudette Elliott Barber and the late Harry Pope. Mr. Pope was a member of Georgetown Church of God and enjoyed playing Santa Claus, traveling to the mountains, fishing, watching football and visiting with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife and mother both of Georgetown; five children, Wendy Jordan (Jeff) of Andrews, Anthony Dean Pope of Georgetown, Cindy Marshall of Georgetown, Mindy Poston of Georgetown and Amanda Jordan (Matt) of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Pope (Debbie) of Georgetown and Jason Pope (Callie) of Georgetown; one sister, Tammy Cox (John) of Georgetown; honorary sister, Kay Lunsford of Georgetown; honorary brother, Jamie Gray (Carolyn) of Georgetown; his beloved puppy, Sassy; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Travis Pope. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Georgetown Church of God with Rev. Deryk Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
